What a weekend we had!

Wow what a fantastic weekend we had at the EDP Weddings show. Massive thanks to all who came to meet us, and to those of you who booked us for your special event. You won’t be disappointed!

Our bookings from the weekend were in double figures, and, when you consider we don’t usually get bookings at the actual shows (they come by email/phone later), we were more than happy. Most people booked us saying that they believed we were very professional, and that it was like they were dealing with a ‘proper’ company (and of course, they were!)

When you’re in business for yourself it’s great to hear comments like that. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, having spent a great many years in the ‘real’ casino business. When you book us you are guaranteed an authentic casino experience with highly experienced croupiers, and great looking tables (and they’re all the same colour, not a mish-mash of greens, reds, and blues etc!), and you can always rest assured that we’ll over deliver on our promises.

After the show we put on a casino evening for the staff of the Marriott Sprowston Manor Hotel in Norwich and it was awesome, but we were extremely tired by the end of play and needed 2 days to recover! (these hospitality staff are party animals!)

That’s Funny!

There were 2 fun casino companies at the show, us and one other. I actually did a couple of 3 hour gigs for the other company a year or so back, and I enjoyed it…. and it was because of that I decided I should start my own fun casino business, because with my 20+ years of real casino experience (starting in 1982 as a croupier in Yarmouth, and later working in The Bahamas, Moscow, and finishing as a casino manager in the Ukraine) I could do it better… So it was amusing to hear some of the potential brides and grooms at the show who had spoken to the other company telling me that ‘The bloke over there says he used to be your boss’ lol…. well I guess I did work for him for a few hours!

Just so you know, the 4 owners of Fun Casino Events (Mark, Peter, Michelle, & Lynne) have 80 years of casino experience between them. So if you want an authentic casino experience at your event there’s really no other choice!

Shaken and Stirred…

Well we just had a busy but satisfying weekend, with 3 casinos in 2 nights.

The first, for Aspall the cyder people, was at All Manor of Events near Ipswich.

We provided 3 tables for their staff at a ‘Late Xmas Party’. In actual fact it was very late, having been cancelled 3 weeks earlier due to the snow that hit the UK. We had a blast, the tournament was loads of fun and got really competitive… and this is what they had to say afterwards…

‘Thank you so much for a fantastic evening and a great service, everyone really enjoyed it and it really made the night. The staff were brilliant, the props were great and the price was really competitive, but most of all everyone loved it so thank you, we will definitely recommend and I cannot wait for another excuse to use you guys again! 

The second was for Shell ONEgas at Potters Leisure Resort in Hopton. Again 3 tables, and again a great time was had by all. We got stuck in the mud as we left so must give a big shout out to the very burly security guys who helped get us out 🙂

Just a few minutes ago we received this quote in an email from Potters…

“We have had excellent feedback so far, most notably about the casino, so you definitely were doing something very right!”

And last but not least was a fundraising event for the Norwich Blackfriars Rotary Club. We put on a James Bond themed evening at Bawburgh Village Hall and helped to raise £1335 for their charities. We provided 3 tables and a bunch of Bond related props. It was a really fun night!

Experience: The 4 owners of Fun Casino Events have close to 80 years of real casino experience, much of it from casinos all around the world. The Bahamas, Russia and The Ukraine, Europe, South Africa, the Cruise Ships, we’ve worked them all, so you’re guaranteed an authentic casino experience (plus we have some great stories!)

Equipment: We are constantly reinvesting in new equipment, so you won’t see old and tired tables, or have 3 tables with 3 different colour baizes at your special event. Our tables are in great condition, and they match! All with beautiful blue baize, just like in a top London club!

Events: We go ‘All In’ to make your event a success. From the time you start speaking to us we’ll do all we can to help you make the right choices regarding table choice, venue, other entertainment etc. Nothing is too much trouble… plus we have a great selection of props if you’d like a themed event such as James Bond night… or Las Vegas… or Monaco! We can even provide a formula one car!

Price: Although we know we provide the best service around, our prices are still very competitive. How do we do this? Simply because with 4 of us running the business we rarely need to employ anyone from the outside, thus keeping our costs to a minimum. Ask us for a quote and you may be surprised!
